after beening a season ticket holder for the last 5 years its time to stop and think about af2 force the team moved them from a top notch phillips and put them in a af2 place like gwinnett this is what everyone on this board wanted and you got it so maybe all of you can be happy with your af2 team because this is where you need to be for me with gas prices so high iam not going to drive 100+ miles for free parking and to see a 2nd rate team like the gwinnett force i love football so its time to move the team back to phillips of put them in the af2 where they belong or maybe its time to be a atlanta dream fan that play in a pro place to play good luck next year gwinnett force me and my 8 season tickets will not be there

We need a defense that involves something other than pass interference penalties. Our defense is very poorly coached during the game, and is poorly prepared. I think Kronenberg's got to go. The pass defenders don't even look back to see the ball! Even the TV commentators commented on the little Kronenberg had to say, as he was wired. I played football in high school, and grew up with Bear Bryant's Alabama Crimson Tide. The coaches never shut up!

I'm rather surprised that Bob Kronenberg's name hasn't come up with the Utah job. I mean selfishly I hope it never does, and I guess it may have something to do with the fact that we're still in our season and Bob's under contract, but I wouldn't think that would keep the media from floating that idea around.

It's also interesting they make a big deal about the coach being a full-time resident as a top priority. I say get the right guy and then work out the details. I believe I've heard Coach Plank say that he spends a lot of time back at home in Arizona in the off-season, but I'm certainly not questioning his results. There are plenty of idiots who live in Atlanta, but I don't want them coaching my team just because they have a shorter commute!

Force OL Shane Grice has been named to the 2008 All-Arena Second Team. Grice started all 16 games for the Force this season on an offensive line that allowed an AFL-low six sacks. With the protection from Grice and his fellow linemen this season, Georgia posted an AFL all-time high 5,259 total yards of offense including a league-high 4,964 passing yards. The five-year AFL veteran is a product of the University of Mississippi, where his offensive line unit allowed the fewest sacks in the SEC and the third lowest total in the nation (seven) as a senior. Grice becomes the ninth player in Force franchise history to be named to the All-Arena Second Team.

The Arena Football League has announced that Georgia Force (10-6) WR Tiger Jones has been named to the AFL All-Rookie Team for his efforts this season.

Jones, 5-11, 184 pounds, hauled in 97 receptions for 1,217 yards with a team-high 30 touchdowns in 12 games, in addition to posting 19 rushing yards on six carries. He was signed prior to Georgia’s Week 5 match-up at Utah and tallied 131 receiving yards on nine catches with five touchdowns in the 70-49 win. His five receiving touchdowns are the most by any player in his AFL debut since 2004. In Georgia’s 72-67 victory over New York in Week 12, he tallied a franchise single-game high 224 receiving yards in addition to tying club highs in receptions (15) and receiving touchdowns (six) in the win. Jones’ 224 receiving yards surpassed the previous mark of 194 set by teammate WR Troy Bergeron, which he set last year against Austin (6/9/07), and also marked the most by any receiver in the AFL this season. He garnered AFL Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in the win. Jones also earned AFL Rookie of the Month honors in May after hauling in 50 receptions for 580 yards (11.6 avg.) with 11 scores in five games.

Jones ranked at or near the top in every offensive category amongst rookies this season despite only playing in 12 games. He led all rookies in scoring (180) in addition to ranking second in receptions (97), receiving yards (1,217) and most yards from scrimmage (1,236). He also ranked sixth in all-purpose yards (1,240) amongst first-year players. Jones is the seventh member of the Force to be named to the AFL All-Rookie Team in franchise history and is the first since 2006. :D

I went to the game and had a great time and hung around on the field for the autograph session and then went to Indigo Joe's for the post game party and I talked with someone who works with the Force and he told me that our first playoff home game will be scheduled for July 7th , which will probably be at 8:00 and I'm sure Espn will televise the it and whoever we will play will be announce after the first round , So we will get a first round bye the way it looks .

Congratulations Force and let's keep this win streak going all the way to New Orleans and the Arena Bowl . Bring it home baby !

Sellout crowd expected for tonights game

Well i Went to try and get some more tickets for my family to come, and the lady at the ticket box said that then entire upper levels were sold out, and 98% of the lower level was sold out as well. I called a guy named shaun in the force organization he said that all the season ticket holders who haven't used their vouchers, to bring them, and they'll exchange them for seats right by them.

I hope that Gwinnett Arena is Jam packed tonight. Make it so loud, that everyone on the T.V. believe that they are the loudest arena ever.

Fans Reaching Over The Boards To Get A Football

How can I start this off ? One thing that I have noticed when I attend a Force game is almost after every play , if a play is near the boards , will bend over and try to take the football . I thought that it was if the ball enter the stands it's yours to keep . But what I have seen of late really bothers me . Now , I'm not trying to sound like a spoilsport or anything and I'm all for wanting to take that football home to show it off proudly ( I got one after a extra point attempt in 05 ! ) , but I really think that one of these days , someone is gonna seriously get hurt reaching out while the play is going on , or fan interferance could cost us a game . I know one game I saw this kid reaching for the ball while the players were still trying to tackle the runner and I think the player's helmet hit the kid in the head ( he was ok ) and another time while a player got knocked into the boards , someone tried to grab the ball out of the players arms and the player got kind of ticked and pushed the fan's arm back . It's things like this that bother me and I think that someday they will stop letting the fans have the ball and have us throw it back . ( I hope it doesn't come to that ) Anyway , I just wanted to see what you guys ( and gals ) think about this situation . I just hope and pray that something like this won't cost us a ballgame .

As the season enters the final four weeks of action, the Southern Divison race has become the most competitive in the AFL. It is the only division in the league that every team has a .500 record or better and first and last place are seperated by 1.5 games. Georgia and Tampa will square-off for the second time this season with the Storm winning the first contest, 69-48, in Week 2. Tampa Bay holds an 8-5 advantage in the regular season series, but the Force have won three out of the last four match ups and have won the last three meetings at home.

After starting the season 0-3 against Southern Division foes and 3- 5 overall, Georgia has rattled off four straight wins including two wins against division opponents. The Force enter their contest against Tampa Bay second in the division with the Storm just one-game back. Georgia has turned around their season on the arm of QB Chris Greisen. He currently ranks fourth in the AFL in passer rating (121.4) and third in touchdowns (72) entering Week 14. In the month of May, Greisen has completed 77.9 pct. of his passes (109 of 140) for 1,258 yards with 24 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Greisen’s performance coupled with a pair of defensive performances where they did not allow their opponents to score more than 40 points, Georgia has found themselves in the hunt for the Southern Division race and are 4-0 in the month of May with one game remaining.

Tampa Bay has won three consecutive games to improve to 6-6 on the year after starting 3-6. The Storm have been led by second-year QB Brett Dietz who has completed 281 of 443 for 3,426 yards with 58 touchdowns this season. His number one target on the year has been WR/LB Lawrence Samuels. Samuels has hauled in 87 catches for 879 yards with 11 touchdowns and is six catches away from becoming the AFL’s all-time leader in receptions.

I mean holy hell...if you have this GA-NO game on DVR, go back to about 3 min left in the 3rd.

Troy Bergeron scores a TD and spikes the ball, which hits the ref by accident. During the same play, NO gets called for hands to the QB's face. These idiots called off setting penalties and took away the TD!!!

What the he!! GA scores so no big deal I suppose.

Now, fast forward to after the commercial and watch Georgia DC Bob Kronenberg ripping the refs for such a stupid error...THEN, wait...THEN watch the conversation between the two refs. Do you see the youngest one?

Seriously...whre do they get these clowns?

I kept waiting for Randy Savage to run into the arena and hit someone over the head with a folding chair.
